Our hotel served a hot breakfast. We had purposely not expected too much just in case it was a disappointment. We were pleasantly surprised, there were so many choices served and because they had bacon, that alone made it wonderful to the carnivores (namely Kent and Carter) who hardly ever get bacon at our house. We headed out of Vegas at about 8:30am excited to reach Anaheim at about 2pm. Just outside of Vegas we ran into the biggest traffic jam ever. We have never seen anything like it. Being a holiday weekend everyone from CA came to Vegas for the weekend and they were all headed back home at the same time. It was miserable and by the time we reached Barstow Kent's poor leg was give out from all of the stop and go, stop and go. The next bit of bad luck was that we saw a Panda Express sign on the freeway and spent 1/2 hour trying to find it. Ughh. We started out again after finally finding Panda. I got to be the driver, scary! We then made a stop to find a shoe outlet store that my friend had told me about and even with google map instructions, we still couldn't find it. We were not feeling like we had any luck and when we finally reached the Disneyland hotel at 4:30 it was a slice of heaven. I must admit getting a little teary eyed as we checked in. It is magical as soon as you pull into the parking lot. The eternal time in the car and the craziness of the last two days was worth it. When we came to our room on the 14th floor, we couldn't help running around like crazy people and looking at everything including the beautiful view. Once again our bad luck came back to bite us in the you know what when we took off for the Walmart to shop for food, after driving all that way and spending 15 min stalking shoppers to find a parking spot, this paticular WallyWorld doesn't have food. AHHHHHH! Anyhooo, to say the least when we finally got to the hotel and knew that we were not going to even have to look at our #@&* car again for 5 days we were thrilled.
