November 29th Day 1

After a delicious breakfast at Einstein Bagels, off we went. We got out of town around 8:00 am. We were in our car until 6:30 at night! One might ask what the H took us so long. Well, we decided to check out Hoover Dam. Little did we know it would add an extra 4 hours to the trip (due to road construction) and we just got there in time to see the security guards locking the doors to the visitors center. Aaaarrrggghhh!! Even though it was a huge disappointment to not be able to go through the "Dam" tour, it is still a marvel just to be able to see it in person. After we checked into our hotel, we went down to Planet Hollywood to check out "The Strip". Two of our favorite places are the Coca-Cola Store and M & M World. Once again it was just not our day and the cute little movie that they play at M & M world had quit playing at 8:00 and we arrived at 8:15. We left feeling a little defeated and in an argument with Carter about purchasing a $6.00 package of M&Ms that can be bought at Maverick for $ .59. What the! On our way back to our car we had a bit of an incident but I have been sworn to not tell on here so you will have to ask me later. Let's just say there was blood involved!!!!!! When we got back to our hotel we collapsed into bed trying to rest to prepare for another long day on the road.
