The 4th of July

We had the funnest 4th this year. The Traceys agreed to go up to Bear Lake with us and stay at the house on the hill. We took off for the hills on Thurs the 3rd and stopped in Garden City for dinner which was a real treat for us as we never stop. When we arrived at Grandma Tudi's house we got everyone settled and then visited. Fri the 4th we woke up early and went to the annual chuckwagon all-you-can-eat breakfast. It was fun to wake up to the crazy old country music playing and walk down together. We attended the program at the tabernacle, we loved it and I always cry when the have the veterans stand to their different branches of the armed services anthems. The highlight of this years program for us however was little Cele dangling her mothers watch precariously over the edge of the balcony and the trumpeter that was dripping spit on the audience below. The parade came next and we had a very good spot but we did make some family upset because we've sat in the same place for 15 years and we changed it up this year, so they didn't know where to find us - sorry guys!! Tudi had her famous picnic at her house and everything was delicious. We went to watch the fireworks off of M hill at the park that night and enjoyed it immensely, but our favorite part was the fireworks that were lit right at the park and were right over our heads and LOUD! We were getting hit with shrapnel and it was great. Saturday Eric, Mandy, Suz, Kaleb, Kent and I helped do a firepit in the back yard (the guys did most of the work but we all pitched in a little). The afternoon was spent at Bear Lake and it was busier than I have ever seen it, WOW!!!!
Sunday I fixed my not yet famous but someday might be Pina Colada Pancakes and then we headed for a hike up to Paris Springs and to the Paris Ice Cave. I hope the Traceys had as much fun coming with us as we had having them there. Thanks again guys!! We hope that you come every year!
Aly, Baylee, Sydney, Kori and Rozlyn had so much fun playing while all the adults visited the afternoon away. What a fun day.
