Disneyland 2009

After riding our favorite rides at Universal (The mummy and Jurassic Park) we took off and arrived at the Paridise Pier Hotel at 3:30. We promptl made ourselves at home and then headed off to the grocery store for supplies. Thanks to Kenner's handy dandy GPS we found the closest one and loaded up on fresh fruit and veggies, water and snacks. We think that paying $3.00 for a bottle of water is a little rediculous! When we came back we headed for our traditional downtown disney walk. It always just makes it feel REAL! We have been having a blast riding the rides but something new this year that we have been doing is pin trading! After our trip last year Kent got me some pins off of ebay. We ordered a "lot" of them for our trip this year and have been able to trade them for really cool ones! Highlights so far are: 1. While on the Pirates of the Caribean Carter piped up with "Shiver me tenders" and "There be tenders ahead". (Thanks a lot Kung Fu Panda!) 2. We somehow got Miss Aly, who had vowed NEVER to go on it ever again, to go on the Tower of Terror and SHE LIKED IT and screamed like a banshee!
3. Our secret agent mission to get my Minnie Mouse pirate pin back. (Read on the next post details.) 4. My family thinking I was so funny when I approached a cute little gay couple to swap picture taking. 5. Trying to keep Kent away from the prunes! I should say us girls trying to keep him away from them. Carter was actually feeding them to him like a mother bird!! What the...... 6. Carter commenting rather loudly about a lady in front of us "Dad, that Mommy has scary eyes! 6. Saving my cell phone from a horrible death on the Big Thunder Mountain roller coaster. 7 A classic Disney moment.... a cute little girl in a princess costume chasing Mulan down the street and when she catches up throwing her arms around her! I swear it could have been a commercial! 7. Figuring out a cool shortcut back to our hotel! 8. Talking the people at the pizza place into bringing our pizza out on a surf board!! 9. The kids getting the biggest kick out of Kent screaming on the roller coasters! It is funny!
