1st day of school.

Wow another summer has flown by. It really went fast this year due to the fact that it didn't really start for us until Carter was out of Kindergarten at the end of June. All of the kids were a little nervous but the first day turned out wonderful for all of them.



Aly had a rough morning. She woke up and her left eye was swollen due to a sty. She could not put in her contacts and had to wear her old cracked glasses and her eye really hurt and was making her miserable. I worried about her all day and was so suprised to see her bounding into the house having had a great day.

Baylee took off walking with some kids in the neighborhood. She looked as cute as a bug but was sooooo nervous. When she came home she was all smiles, it had turned into a great day. She had at least 1 friend in each class and the teacher that she knew she wasn't going to like turned out to be her favorite.

Carter didn't even seem phased by the whole first day of school jitters. He couldn't wait to go. When he got home he told me that he had missed me and that he missed his teacher from last year because "she didn't push him around and make him do all kinds of stuff."
