I don't know about all you moms out there but isn't hard to focus on all the things our kids are doing right! It seems like all the mistakes, messes and craziness takes a front seat and all the good stuff gets skipped right over. I know, everyone else problably has already figured out ways to combat this issue but for me it is an ongoing battle. We occasionally have to shake things up and retrain our whole family to look for the good in others. Thus the marble jar. We all reward each other for good works, words and warm fuzzies by putting a marble in a jar each time we notice good in others. We just restarted it today and so far so good! Hopefully it will last for more than a week! When your jar is full then you get to trade it in on a prize (maybe a date with mom or dad) or you can use the marbles to purchase smaller rewards from the marble store! It should be fun and I will let you know how it is going!

Marble rules
1. You can't get a marble when you point out an act of goodness that you have performed. It is about retraining ourselves to notice good in others.
2. Everybody can give each other marbles but you can't give yourself one.
3. You can give marbles for acts of kindness, acts of service or doing chores or good things without being asked.
